研究焦點


  • 本研究室致力於人類新興感染症之相關研究工作,尤其著重在新型流感病毒(Influenza virus)、茲卡病毒 (Zika virus)、中東呼吸道症候群冠狀病毒 (MERS-CoV)、新型冠狀病毒 (SARS-CoV-2) 及猴痘病毒 (Monkeypox virus) 之中和性單株抗體與疫苗的研發。針對上述之多種病毒,我們已研發出一系列具有高專一性及病毒中和力的單株抗體,並且成功運用於快篩及分子檢測平台之開發,相關研究成果已發表於國際期刊及進行技轉授權,希望對新興感染症的研究、診斷與治療領域能有所貢獻。

 

  • 本研究室亦投入蝦肝胰腺微孢子蟲病 (Enterocytozoon hepatopennaei; EHP)、急性肝胰腺壞死症 (acute hepatopancreas necrosis disease; AHPND) 及高致死性弧菌病 (highly lethal vibrio disease; HLVD) 等蝦類新興感染症之研究。這些新興蝦類傳染病可造成蝦隻生長遲緩、免疫力下降及肝胰腺上皮細胞死亡,最後造成蝦隻大量死亡,致死率高達100%,因此已經對養蝦產業造成極大的威脅。本研究室已開發出高靈敏度的蝦病快篩試劑,尤其快篩具有簡便、快速且成本低之特色,能夠幫助蝦養殖戶儘早辨識出病蝦,進而進行養殖管控,以阻斷病原的大流行,減低重大的經濟損失。相關計畫的執行,除了可以實際協助養蝦產業提升疾病的檢測與防禦能力,計畫參與人員也能累積跨領域的研究經驗,為生技產業培育優秀的研發人才。
